Continuous-Time Mean Field Games with Finite State Space and Common Noise

چکیده

Abstract We formulate and analyze a mathematical framework for continuous-time mean field games with finitely many states common noise, including rigorous probabilistic construction of the state process existence uniqueness results resulting equilibrium system. The key insight is that we can circumvent master equation reduce to system forward-backward systems (random) ordinary differential equations by conditioning on noise events. In absence our setup reduces Gomes, Mohr Souza (Appl Math Optim 68(1): 99–143, 2013) Cecchin Fischer 81(2):253–300, 2020).

Mean field limit of a continuous time finite state game

Mean field games is a recent area of study introduced by Lions and Lasry in a series of seminal papers in 2006. Mean field games model situations of competition between large number of rational agents that play non-cooperative dynamic games under certain symmetry assumptions. A key step is to develop a mean field model, in a similar way to what is done in statistical physics in order to constru...

On Continuous Time Markov Games with Countable State Space

This paper is a continuation of our papers [61 and [71 and is concerned with a continuous time Markov game in which the state space is countable and the action spaces of player I and player n are compact metric spaces. In the game, the players continuously observe the state of the system and then choose actions. As a result, the reward is paid to player I from player n and the system moves to a...

Socio-economic applications of finite state mean field games.

In this paper, we present different applications of finite state mean field games to socio-economic sciences. Examples include paradigm shifts in the scientific community or consumer choice behaviour in the free market. The corresponding finite state mean field game models are hyperbolic systems of partial differential equations, for which we present and validate different numerical methods. We...

Long time average of mean field games

Mean Field Games models, as developed by J.-M. Lasry and P.-L. Lions, describe, roughly speaking, situations with large number of identical agents taking into account in their strategies the mass of the other co-players. Such model gives rise to a coupled system of PDEs, namely a viscous Hamilton-Jacobi equation for the value function of the average player coupled with a Fokker-Planck equation ...

Mean Field Games

We survey here some recent studies concerning what we call mean-field models by analogy with Statistical Mechanics and Physics. More precisely, we present three examples of our mean-field approach to modelling in Economics and Finance (or other related subjects. . . ). Roughly speaking, we are concerned with situations that involve a very large number of “rational players” with a limited inform...
